Thank you to everyone who came out to move flower boxes, shovel dirt, and plant flowers. A special thank you to Garry and Linda Jolliffe for their donation of a flower box and for the great dirt! Thanks to Tom Andruik for building the other 2. They look great. Thanks to Ruth Reay for picking up the flowers and especially to Sunshine Valley Greenhouses for their donation of all the flowers! Look for pictures on the photo page.
Great start to the Centennial celebrations, Sheila! Below are some of the comments from visitors on the event:
--Great event and series! very well done, incorporating all the area history, along with all the great hides, must have taken an immense amount of work! Good job, and a huge Thanks to Sheila, for making this all happen! Enjoying some sleeping in on a day off, and only coming up for the day, we had a late start, so only managed to find about 1/3 of the series caches, but seeing what the area has to offer, we will certainly be back with the quads for more geocaching adventure.
--Big thank you to Sheila (very nice meeting you) and all who helped put this together. I appreciated the local history with each cache, along with the caches themselves. Not a micro in sight! I love geo tours and hope more communities catch on. We will definitely be back to fill our Passport and next time we Wil NOT be leaving the quads at home. We appreciate the diversity of the area and can't wait to explore more.
If you ever have another event...we WILL be back.
Well done ... a high five to you!
--What a fantastically crafted event. Thanks for all the hard work that went into creating all the caches and the research on the history! Well done!
--It was a beautiful day cachin' around Smith today. We didn't find all 100 but had a great day cachin' and met a couple cachers along the trails.
We definitely appreciate all the work that went into this event, GREAT job and great hides. We will be back to log a few maore
