Smith Community Association
The Smith Community Association is a society of Smith residents who have come together to work collectively to promote growth and development within the Hamlet of Smith, Alberta and the surrounding area. They meet regularly to discuss the challenges the community faces, including a shrinking population and barriers to development and growth. With the community's best interest in mind, and with the support of the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River No. 124 and fellow citizens, this group is working together to create a stronger and more connected community.

Some of the projects that the Association has completed and are continuing to do are the flower boxes around the hamlet, the beautification around the JFW building with shrubs, grass planting and placing of tables and benches. A small playground is now located here. Thanks also to SHARA for the spinning chairs that have recently been added.
Volunteers have also built and installed fronts of historical buildings from our area. These are located at the park along the highway.
